Prof. S. P. Singh was a l lecturer, anatomist, neuroscientist and forensic expert of international repute. He was well loved by students, making him the recipient of the ABUMSA award for the most "loved lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine."

His style of teaching rather than lecturing, garnished with fun and humour would always make one look forward to his lectures.

Prof. Singh died while on official duty as an external examiner at the university of Maiduguri in 2006.

To keep the memories of this beloved lecture and honour him for his services to Nigerians, one of his student, the founder of Danyashi Inc. Dr Abba Mohammed named his latest contribution to medical indexing and internet searching technology after him.
